Sojourner Truth's Original 1851 Speech
*Note: The portion of Truth's speech reproduced on page 136 is taken from an 1863 publication of the speech, which today is believed to be largely a fabrication rather than an accurate rendering of the words spoken at the time. There was a version of the speech published in a newspaper in 1851. The video linked here is based on the published text from 1851. You can find out more at The Sojourner Truth Project.
